Αν υποθέσουμε ότι τη στιγμή που ο ηλεκτρισμός πλησίασε σε απόσταση αναπνοής την κιθάρα, γεννήθηκε το ροκ, τότε όταν ο αέρας άγγιξε τις έξι, επτά ή δώδεκα χορδές του εν λόγω οργάνου, γεννήθηκε το Air Guitar, που, ως πράξη δεν είναι άλλο από το «κάνω-ότι-παίζω-κιθάρα-και-γουστάρω». Μορφή διαγωνισμού απέκτησε στη Φινλανδία, όπου και δημιουργήθηκε πριν 12 χρόνια. Με τη γνωστή καθυστέρηση έφτασε και στην Ελλάδα και συγκεκριμένα στο Underworld, την Κυριακή που μας πέρασε.

Και ενώ όλοι αναρωτιόνταν για την προσέλευση κόσμου, εξεπλάγησαν μάλλον ευχάριστα καθώς στο club της Γαμβέττα έγινε το αδιαχώρητο. Κόσμος όλων των «μουσικών τάξεων», από alternative και punk μέχρι dark wave και hard rock (επικρατούσα τάξη), καουμπόικες μπότες, animal prints και t-shirts Misfits και Wolfsheim μπλέκονταν με τους ήχους των Muse, των Guns n Roses και του Marilyn Manson δημιουργώντας την πιο παράδοξα αρμονική πολυχρωμία.

Υπήρχε, βέβαια, διάχυτη μια δυσαρέσκεια, τόσο εξαιτίας της καθυστέρησης έναρξης του διαγωνισμού όσο και εξαιτίας του θανατηφόρου συνδυασμού «κατάμεστος χώρος + ανεπαρκής εξαερισμός» που έκανε την κατάσταση ανυπόφορη. Παρόλα αυτά, όταν μετά από μια σύντομη και διανθισμένη με συχνότατα «γαμώ το κέρατό μου» παρουσίαση, άρχισε το show, σα να ξεχαστήκαμε λίγο και να μπήκαμε πάραυτα στο κλίμα της βραδιάς. Οι διαγωνιζόμενοι, υπό το βλέμμα της κριτικής επιτροπής, αποτελούμενη από γνωστούς παραγωγούς και μουσικούς, επέδειξαν τη μουσική και χορευτική τους δεινότητά κραδαίνοντας τις φανταστικές κιθάρες τους, κάνοντας head-banging, χοροπηδώντας, ανεμίζοντας δεξιά αριστερά την –κατά κύριο λόγο πλούσια- κόμη τους, ενώ συχνά τα μαύρα γυαλιά των συμμετεχόντων έκρυβαν το όποιο τρακ μπορεί αν ένιωθαν-αν και αμφίβολο.

Στο διάλειμμα χρέη διασκεδαστών ανέλαβαν οι Koolians, τους οποίους αν δεν δει κανείς live δεν μπορεί να καταλάβει για τι show και διασκέδαση μιλάμε, και όταν πλέον ο διαγωνισμός πέρασε στη δεύτερη φάση, των δέκα ατόμων, τα πράγματα είχαν λίγο πολύ ξεκαθαρίσει. Τις καρδιές όλων είχε κλέψει ο 16χρονος Muruth the Barbarian, κατά κόσμο Πέτρος Σταθάτος, με το Spice Girls μπλουζάκι το οποίο μετά από παραινέσεις κάποιων humorless έβγαλε, στεναχωρώντας μέλη της κριτικής επιτροπής, που παρόλα αυτά αποφάσισαν υπέρ του και του χάρισαν 60 βαθμούς, το εισιτήριο για τη Φινλανδία, καθώς και την υπογεγραμμένη από τους Iron Maiden Flying V. Η επίσης φανταστική Κατερίνα Γεωργουδάκη (Super Katerina) κέρδισε τη δεύτερη θέση με 59 βαθμούς, και την υπόσχεση πως αυτή θα αποτελέσει την αναπληρωματική εκπρόσωπο της χώρας μας, αν για κάποιο λόγο ο νικητής δεν μπορέσει να παρευρεθεί στον παγκόσμιο τελικό.

Παρά τις συνθήκες που επικρατούσαν στο club, το κάθιδρο κοινό επέδειξε εξαιρετική υπομονή και απόλαυσε πραγματικά τους ήρωες του air guitar για τον πολύ απλό λόγο ότι έκαναν αυτό που όλοι κάνουμε σπίτι μας αλλά ντρεπόμαστε να βγάλουμε προς τα έξω: ότι κατά βάθος όλοι θέλουμε να είμαστε ροκ σταρ. Ή μάλλον ότι όλοι είμαστε ροκ σταρ.

Από την ηλικία των οκτώ ετών, η Αμαλία ξεκίνησε να πονάει. Παρά τις συνεχείς επισκέψεις της σε γιατρούς και νοσοκομεία, κανένας δεν κατάφερε να διαγνώσει εγκαίρως το καλόηθες νευρίνωμα στο πόδι της. Δεκαεπτά χρόνια αργότερα, η Αμαλία έμαθε ότι το νευρίνωμα είχε πια μεταλλαχθεί σε κακόηθες νεόπλασμα.

Για τα επόμενα πέντε χρόνια η Αμαλία είχε να παλέψει όχι μόνο με τον καρκίνο και τον ακρωτηριασμό, αλλά και με την παθογένεια ενός Εθνικού Συστήματος Υγείας που επιλέγει να κλείνει τα μάτια στα φακελάκια κι επιμένει να κωλυσιεργεί με παράλογες γραφειοκρατικές διαδικασίες. Εκτός από τις ακτινοβολίες και τη χημειοθεραπεία, η Αμαλία είχε να αντιμετωπίσει την οικονομική εκμετάλλευση από γιατρούς που στάθηκαν απέναντί της και όχι δίπλα της. Πέρα από τον πόνο, είχε να υπομείνει την απληστία των ιδιωτικών κλινικών και την ταλαιπωρία στις ουρές των ασφαλιστικών ταμείων για μία σφραγίδα.


Η Αμαλία άφησε την τελευταία της πνοή την Παρασκευή 25 Μαϊου 2007. Ήταν μόλις 30 ετών.

Πριν φύγει, πρόλαβε να καταγράψει την εμπειρία της και να τη μοιραστεί μαζί μας μέσα από το διαδικτυακό της ημερολόγιο. Στην ηλεκτρονική διεύθυνση http://fakellaki.blogspot.com, η νεαρή φιλόλογος κατήγγειλε επώνυμα τους γιατρούς που αναγκάστηκε να δωροδοκήσει, επαινώντας παράλληλα εκείνους που επέλεξαν να τιμήσουν τον Ορκο του Ιπποκράτη. Η μαρτυρία της συγκίνησε χιλιάδες ανθρώπους, που της στάθηκαν συμπαραστάτες στον άνισο αγώνα της μέχρι το τέλος.

«Ο στόχος της Αμαλίας ήταν να πει την ιστορία της, ώστε μέσα απ' αυτήν να αφυπνίσει όσο το δυνατόν περισσότερους ανθρώπους και συνειδήσεις. Κυρίως ήθελε να δείξει ότι υπάρχουν τρόποι αντίστασης στην αυθαιρεσία και την εξουσία των ασυνείδητων και ανάλγητων γιατρών, αλλά και των γραφειοκρατών υπαλλήλων του συστήματος υγείας.»

Σύμφωνα με τις διατάξεις του άρθρου 77 του Ν. 2071/1992, θεωρείται πειθαρχικό παράπτωμα για τους γιατρούς του Ε.Σ.Υ:

«Η δωροληψία και ιδίως η λήψη αμοιβής και η αποδοχή οποιασδήποτε άλλης περιουσιακής παροχής, για την προσφορά οποιασδήποτε ιατρικής υπηρεσίας.»

Η Αμαλία Καλυβίνου αγωνίστηκε για πράγματα που θεωρούνται αυτονόητα σε ένα σύγχρονο ευρωπαϊκό κράτος. Δυστυχώς δεν είναι και τόσο αυτονόητα στην Ελλάδα. Συνεχίζοντας την προσπάθεια που ξεκίνησε η Αμαλία, διαμαρτυρόμαστε δημόσια και απαιτούμε:
